Land Acknowledgement

First Place Canadian Consulting operates on the original land of a vast diversity of Indigenous Peoples, much of which has been and still is occupied by settlers. First Place Canadian Consulting is located in Toronto, on the “Dish With One Spoon Wampum Territory” – a treaty between the Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee Peoples that binds them to share the area and protect the land in the spirit of community. This is also known as Treaty 13. “A land acknowledgement is a first step, not an end point”…in terms of making meaningful community, and collective, social change. First Place Canadian Consulting is dedicated to continuous learning, and to creating new connections as one way forward in our shared healing. Furthermore, by recognizing the importance of the 94 Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, we are inspired to truly help begin the healing process.
